The expectation that office net operating incomes will decline by at least as much as mall NOIs had declined during that sector’s downturn has prompted Capital Economics to predict that office property values could plunge by 35 percent by the end of 2025 when compared from their peaks. The London research company predicted that recovery will be slow and could take until 2040, or later.
