The FDIC and its loan-sales adviser, Newmark, are gearing up to launch marketing efforts for Signature Bank’s nearly $36 billion of commercial real estate loans. They’re expected to take a page out of the Global Financial Crisis playbook and offer what then were called structured transactions, where the agency would form a venture with a third-party investor and effectively provides financing.
