Institutional investors are now over-allocated to commercial real estate, according to a survey of 173 institutions that have a total of $1.1 trillion of real estate assets under management. That’s largely the result of the denominator effect. But investors still expect to increase their allocations to the asset class next year from this year’s 10.8 percent.
