Greystone took the top spot in a ranking of CMBS conduit B-piece buyers this year through September, marking the first time the company has sat atop the list. It invested in the most subordinate bonds of three conduit transactions with a combined balance of $2.62 billion, edging out 3650 REIT, also a relative newcomer to the B-piece buying field, which invested in three deals, but those totaled $2.31 billion. The Miami company, meanwhile, was tops among risk retainers during the period.
