A record 70.4 million square feet of office space is available for lease directly from landlords, according to Savills. That’s up nearly 9 percent from last year. Sublease availabilities, meanwhile, had declined during the latest period to 21.6 million sf. Still, the total availability rate in Manhattan reached 19.7 percent, a new cyclical high.
